An Athlete

We must arrange our lives around certain practices that will enable us to do what we cannot do now by willpower alone. When it comes to running a marathon, we must train, not merely try. In spite of all the hard work for an athlete, the end result is transitory fame. But for the Christian the crown to be won is imperishable (1 Tim 4:8; 1 Cor 9:25).
