In this passage, Paul and Barnabas argue along with the Church leaders to make known that the gentiles are not called to the Jewish religious practices to follow Jesus. However, the Gentile believers are encouraged to abstain for the sake of their new family of God. We must learn what it means to grow in love and outgrow the way of religion and the ways of the world.
