Forming Hearts

Let’s be real: our hearts are always in the process of being shaped. This sermon looks at the story of Joseph and his family, exploring how grace, guilt, and lies each try to influence who we become. Joseph’s heart is shaped by grace, his brothers get tangled up in guilt, and Jacob finds himself believing lies.

Here’s the real question: Will we let grace and truth shape our lives, or will shame and false stories keep running the show? Joseph shows mercy when most would go for payback. His brothers mistake a blessing for a curse because they haven’t dealt with their past. Jacob’s fear grows out of a story that simply isn’t true.
